Late night Roman menu (3 course prix fixe menu offered after 10pm--you have to ask for it) is a total steal after a long day exploring New York. Busy place, so just reserve online.

Our concierge William at Smyth says that the Braised Oxtail with Gnocchi alla Romana is sublime. Also the Spaghetti alla Carbonara is the best in the city.
Simple food. Stripped classics. Perfectly proportioned. Thanks, Mario! (Side note- I tried chicken for the first time in over five years here. Hallelujah!!!)
