The magical place – In short, for all you connoisseurs of the black stuff, no where else in Manhattan has got it quite as good as Lunasa has. And, believe me I am the fussy guinness drinker as the excellently funny bartender in Lunasa knows!! This bar is undoubtedly a gem in a city of Irish pubs. It's got that magical quality otherwise known in the emerald isle as "the craic" and as such the atmosphere at any time of the day or night is second to none.

great time – I'm not going to say this was the all time best bar I've ever been to in my life, but I had a really fantastic time there for my birthday. The outdoor garden was very relaxing and the food was very good. The service, however, was the best part of all. I had a large group, with people coming and going, and constantly adding new things to our tab - some people paid with credit card, others with cash, and the waitress managed it all beautifully. My home away from home.... – I've been coming here for two years, and this place never lets me down. Great bar, good people, friendly staff, excellent atmosphere, good music--just what you're looking for in the East Village to relax and have a good time. It can get pretty packed on weekends, but the crowd is always friendly and relaxed. The brunch on weekends is phenomenal, and definitely worth the visit. I've never had a bad time here, and would recommend this place hands down!
I went to Lunasa this past Friday to take advantage of their happy hour specials. What a great place! The bartender (who later in the evening took post as the bouncer) was an absolute sweetheart. Best Irish bar in Manhattan!! – Lunasa is a chilled Irish bar with zero frills. Laid back atmosphere with the frendliest staff in the city. It's interior is sleek and modern with an intimate garden out back. I threw a surprise party for a friend here, the music was great and the service was amazing. The food is delicious and far beyond your typical bar fare. A friend highly recommended Lunasa, but even then it exceeded my expectations. The waitresses were so helpful and accommodating. This place rocks!!
Cool Bar, Great Beer garden – Just enjoyed one of the best birthdays I've ever had at this bar. Felt compelled to write a review. I'd heard a lot about Lunasa before I actually visited it and it didn't disappoint. Lunasa's cool, unaffected atmosphere is possibly a direct result of its great bar staff.
