Warning to Anyone with Taste Buds... – I'm generally pretty chill when it comes to restaurants, service, and food. But this St. Patrick's Day "brunch" really tested my patience. It was the worst experience I've had in the six years in NYC. We walked in to Lunasa at 1:50p to get their "Irish breakfast". There was one table already eating and the rest of the restaurant was empty. So all in all the place was pretty dead. As the proprietor of Lunasa I was shocked to read your review and I?m very sorry you had such a bad experience. On review of the security cameras I discovered you entered Lunasa at 1:53pm and left at 2:41pm, that?s 48 minutes. You received the menus at 2:01 and ordered at 2:03. The food arrived at 2:29pm, 26 minutes later, not 45 minutes. Each Irish breakfast is cooked from scratch and requires 15?20 minutes to prepare. Great Irish Pub, with the perfect pint of Guiness – Perfect place to go for a quick pint - or waste away an afternoon. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. Go for a happy hour during the week to catch some specials or check out their weekend brunches. Everything from a traditional Irish breakfast to the best cheeseburger in the city (it's incredible). Spent last St. Patty's Day there and wound up planning a trip to Ireland. Great music and cool staff. A must in the east village to check out.
Wonderful Staff, great please to have a party – I had my bday party here, with a group of about 20. From the first time I contacted Lunasa to inquire about this, they were so nice and willing to accomidate. THey reserved the back seating area for my party, no charge, no bar tab minimum, no deposit. Not great service. – This place has great atmosphere, & the staff are very friendly, but I was really disappointed in the quality of the service. We had a birthday party here, and we repeatedly had to go and track down the waitress to take drink orders everyone time someone new arrived, then the drinks took forever to get there. Great For Board Games And Beer – I was here on Thursday night for about an hour and a half... arrived around midnight and the bar was basically empty. Some would be upset about this but my friends and I were just looking for a place where we could hang out and have a beer. It ended up being a very relaxing experience. Great drinks, friendly staff, and they have Connect Four! – I spent last Saturday night at this pub celebrating my birthday. From the minute I called (which was only a few days before) Scott (a bartender) was so helpful and friendly. It was kind of last minute and I had a small group coming, but he ensured me that we would have a place to sit and relax.
