Horrible! He disregarded everything I said and told me to quit my job if I can’t handle the stress. Said unless I was a danger to others or myself there was nothing he could do for me. I left the appointment feeling hopeless. Someone stop him from treating before one of his patients ends up hurt.
SANDOVAL who should be named Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde. He is the worst cruelest Dr I've seen . He gave 3 strong medications - Risperdal , Haldol and Ativan simultaneously to my 69 year old father while he was at Kaiser Irvine Hospital admitted to be placed for skilled rehabilitation from his stroke! My dad had congestive heart failure , diabetes , hypertension , two strokes and quadruple bypass surgery. This doctor should have looked at the medical records before prescribing . Abusive. I’ll never get over the terrible care I received.
After talking to him I felt like it was my fault to choose him as a psychiatric doctor to discuss on my issues on feeling.
I do not recommend seeing Dr. Sandoval when I find him a little confused. Although I am a born again Christian, he tried to convince me it is possible that God spoke through my illness even though I was suffering schizophrenia. In my view, Kaiser should terminate him immediately before any of his patients get seriously hurt when he does not seem to understand his Catholic beliefs or understands his patients' illnesses like schizophrenia. With Kaiser's protocol the ease to see the Doctor is virtually impossible. Truly, it is a pity, Kaiser cannot double the Psychiatric Community in Santa Ana alone to allow patients to see M.D's with more regularity on an as needed basis. Dr. Sandoval is a deep listener and analyst. His strike at the raw nerve, for me, was spot on, allowing one aspect within to perish and another to germinate.
