Luigi's originated in 1984 in Clymer, PA a small community in Indiana County. The Clymer location was originally a tavern. William "Skip" Tate along with two of his sons, Louis and Edward, decided to buy the building and introduce an Italian menu to the area. With no prior restaurant experience, Louis and Edward were blessed with the help and guidance of their father, Skip and Mother, Barbara. I grew up in Clymer, PA...around a lot of Italians...so eating pasta and talking with my hands became a habit...i live in Verona now, near Pittsburgh...I just took my dad their...he loves it and I do too...a nice family atmosphere...I love the cod Romano...and the Jack Daniels Wings i think they are (probably wrong) but they are really really good...I had all three of Louie's children in school and even though they were ornery, they were genuinely sweet kids...I enjoy the place very much...and look forward to many many years... read more
We held a surprise combined birthday and retirement party for my wife... It worked out beautifully, the food was great and the service was excellent. Thanks to Louie and all of the staff!
The food isn't as good as it used to be. Or, it just taste different
We went to the pizza shop ordered 2 pizzas to go.. Staff very friendly nice clean but was the worst pizza I ever had.. I was shocked as I really like the restaurant food.. Pizza was like eating oil soaked cardboard with rubber cheese.. just aweful.
