December 31st 2005 was the last night for the popular and fun Pelican Club in Cape May. It was our landlord’s decision to turn that space into condominium units (a trend that is all too familiar on the east coast shore towns, but that is a whole different story), so we (the Pelican Club Family) had to move on. Had a great lunch. My 5 year old son has Celiac disease and this was the first time he could eat pretty much whatever he wanted; extensive gluten free menu. And the first time we didn't have to worry about packing him his own food. Servers took great care making sure there was no cross contamination as we are a blended eating family! And of course he was crazy over the pizza he chose; ate all but one slice, which we took home and has eaten already!
I have eaten at lucky bones dozens of times and always loved my meal. Favorite is the steak sandwich and prime rib. Mussels are unbelievable. Great beer too.
Love this place. Usually the first stop when visiting Cape May. They now have a Gluten Free menu, the gluten free pizza is great!
