Licensed Professional Counselors are required to abide by laws and ethics. When a potential client asks me to do something that immediately sends up a red flag, I'm obligated to work within the confines of these ethics. When clients ask me to do something that would impair privacy I will do all I can to prevent legal, ethical, and privacy concerns that might harm a client. My friend took all of her courage to reach out and see a therapist only for this lady to deny her service because she didn’t want the “complications” of my friend bringing one of us along to her sessions with her. She then proceeded to screenshot my review and post it on her Facebook page commenting on how people our age don’t know how to be adults, when in fact shaming someone for sticking up for their friend is less mature than anything either of us have ever done. I HONESTLY don’t recommend
