I love the food, but their "To Go' section really needs some work. At least 3 times I've gone during the week during lunch time and no one was there. The door to that area was unlocked and no sign was present, and I waited for over 5 minutes each time. I don't mind it not being open, but they need to either lock that door or place a sign saying to get in the main line. Inconsistency is the WORST thing you can do from a service perspective. They need to get a policy in place to better handle this. Very disappointed.

I went last night, ate some food, dropped my debit card, called today and they had it! 5 Stars!
The employees working behind the food line were a little impatient while my 83 year old father who was asking what the various food entrees were. The cashier seemed to be having a bad day, couldn't get a smile from him. I liked the roasted sweet potatos. The grilled chicken was well seasoned. My father enjoyed the corn and pinto beans. Jay, was an absolute joy. He was friendly, offered various condiments and a great genuine smile.

Lucy our waitress was absolutely wonderful. She was very attentive, prompt didn't hesitate to help . That lubys is my favorite location. The staff is wonderful.

Food was great but a little on the cold side. The wait staff we're encouraged to tip for doing next to nothing hovers & lingers a bit too much - at one point our waiter coughed his brains out a few feet from our table & we were beyond grossed out. Sounded like he was very sick. He needs to cover his mouth and/or stay home if he's that sick - especially if he works around food & people. This occurred Saturday night, Feb 4th at the Austin Mopac location.
