Corporate should cater to the residents of East End, that have been loyal for years. Lubys needs a complete facelift. New carpet, paint, tables, etc. I went there two months ago and saw roaches near the pies. I was so disgusted, and I obviously left. I will never return to this location unless they are re-modled.
The dessert sizes (kid) portions are not worth the price at the Luby's Gulfgate. Pathetic!! This location has changed to the worse. I prefer Lubys on West Gray more variety to the menu and larger portions of food and desserts. Well worth the money. Pleasant atmosphere!

was very disappointed I normally enjoy the food but the liver tasted like it had been cooked in old grease
great food. I'm a truck driver. come to Houston every week. didn't know you could make steak any better but they did by adding bacon. highly recommend this place. truckers know good food. will let other drivers know to stop in for a sit down meal.
They have stuffed catfish now, stuffed crab, & the shrimp jalapeño corn cake
Cleanliness Went to this establishment on the night of 2/6/19 only to find 2 roaches crawling along the food line. One of the line servers was quick to attempt to kill them (successful with 1 kill) but everyone else just stood around as if this was the norm. No one even made an effort to wipe the area where the roach was killed even after my wife inquired if they were going to clean the area. Needless to say we left and went elsewhere to eat and we are going to take a break from dearly loved Luby’s. 😩🤮🤮🤢
