Went in for an oil change and they tried to sell me new transmission fluid only based on the color of my current fluid. This is a common tactic at a lot of mechanic spots. They make you think yours is too dirty and needs to be changed out by showing you the brand new pink fluid compared to yours. Yet there are tons of articles online saying “The color of automatic transmission fluid, taken out of context, means very little...
