I originally was referred to Gersten Center for Behavioral Health through my provider for my minor child. I initially called for an intake appointment, and was promptly left a message that someone would reach back to me within 2 business days. I did receive a call from a woman named, Ofelia. Unfortunately I missed her call because I was at work. I have called and left her three messages to return my call. The last one, was this past Friday, all during business hours. I understand in our current climate with Covid we are not able to be with or visit our loved ones. However, it is imperative to keep lines of communication open for family members. It took me 2 hours of calling the main line, nursing station, as well as, paging the nursing supervisor x2 (which never called back) before I called again and someone finally answered on the floor. First and foremost the staff that has waited on me was amazing, especially in the ICU, Joann had to be one of my favorites. However, down in general is a completely different thing. Yes, being In general you share rooms and at that point the opposite bed in which shares my room is horrible. The nurses and doctors forget that I too am a patient. Regina in particular worst doctor or nurse ever.... loud and has no regard that I am trying to sleep . She came in every time throughout the entire night with her loud Obnoxious voice... read more

‪@Gottliebhospit #poortretment My husband was admitted there on Monday from the er with severe head and abdominal pain.....today is Wednesday and I still have not spoken to a single doctor about my husbands condition!!!! This is completely unacceptable. I understand COVID is going on in the world but that’s no excuse for the lack of communication with loved ones during such a scary time. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE for a "non-narcotic" medication .. a medication for chronic migraines.. a medication that a patient has been on for years to BE REFILLED? 3+ days and NO RESPONSE? . REALLY? . With all the electronic authorizations in place.. with an ESTABLISHED PATIENT/DOCTOR relationship... WHY are doctors routinely NO FILLING PRESCRIPTIONS? . The list of failures over the last nearly 30 years is endless. Loyola does not care about me personally as a patient.. and as a result, no reason for me to care enough to help them improve. Let is simply be said.. since Trinity bought up Loyola, the quality of care has steadily and rapidly declined. How about starting thie placing PATIENTS BEFOR PROFIT!

I was treated horriblely. I almost died because they did not believe me or did not pay attention to my symtops. There are other area hospitals that are better at treating people and save your life.
