Anyone who attends a private school can usually assume that the instructors and programs are going to be top-notch, and Loyola Marymount definitely reinforces the notion. Tuition is high, but the quality of teaching is proportionately equal. I attended Loyola's film production program for two years. 90% of my instructors were inspiring, informative, helpful, and available. I must say, for the most part the professors at LMU are excellent, especially in the MBA school. I am currently in a Masters in Systems Engineering program which is new and they still need to work out a few kinks, but the program has a ton of potential. The Mechanical Engineering Director, Dr. Oppenheim is excellent. If you take classes at LMU, try to take him. He teaches Mechanical Engineering, Quality and Lean courses.
