Bought a washer and dryer set (whirlpool to be exact). Ordered it to be delivered to my house. When they came to unload it, they only brought the washer. They then told us the dryer was discontinued and they didn’t give us a number to call or anything. Went back to the store to speak to the Store Manager to explain what happened and all he could say was sorry. I used to like Lowe's. Then I ordered something to be delivered. What a disappointment! First they promised delivery on Saturday. Then they called and said my order was ready for pickup and when I questioned that, the woman said she'd check with her manager and call back. She didn't. When I called them (finally), she said she was busy and I'd have to be patient until she got to me. Finally, the delivery was promised for today. I signed up for a fence to be installed almost 4 weeks ago and waiting with no date with hardly any follow through and no totals on sale but quick to take a credit card and get that sale. I hired a big box store so I didn't have to call and do all the work. I thought this would be easy and simple. So far it's me calling and asking for the total and me begging for a date to install. What a rough experience. I am in the middle of remodeling my kitchen, and I had previously purchased 3 new appliances from the Kirkwood location. Those went great, so I decided the price and time was right to purchase my refrigerator. Somehow, after purchasing the refrigerator online, I ended up with the Loughborough store for this appliance. It pains me to give Lowe's 1 star. I really enjoy Lowe's stores. However, I do NOT enjoy calling Lowe's customer service. Tell me why I went through 6 different automated menus (yes I was counting) and then had to wait on hold for 12 minutes and I STILL DID NOT ACTUALLY SPEAK TO A PERSON. I hung up. Ridiculous! I could not even say "customer service representative" into the phone, it just kept reading me my menu options. I think next time I'll avoid Lowe's all together and perhaps Lowe's will think about how they can provide... read more
