Although I had some problems with scheduling through the contractor for my vinyl flooring installation, Lowe's specialist and staff worked hard to get everything straightened out. My feeling is that everyone, especially Lara McGriff, went out of their way to make sure things were worked out. The subcontractor and his son (from Urbana) were awesome. I've used Lowe's before and will use them again.
Buyer Beware!!!! Advertisement at Lowe's. I paid $14,000 for a kitchen remodel in May. Still not completed. Manager's latest suggestion when I was insisting for a date of completion...."maybe we could tape the baseboards up". My only recourse seems to be is to get an attorney. If anyone can suggest one please share with me.
In 2014 we had a water heater installed by Lowes, 4 years later it is leaking and the company who made the water heater was bought by AO Smith. After talking with Lowes we find out that we have to call AO Smith directly and get a Return Authorization number, which we were able to do with relative ease. Absolutely horrendous delivery service! They messed up my delivery 3 separate times and ruined my families weekend. Never again will I do this!
The reputation of Lowe's in general has been tarnished by this poor excuse for a store. I ordered Christmas gifts from this store because my daughter lives near there. As of this date, January 31, 2018, she still has not received all her gifts. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for a while, but this is ridiculous. I have called the corporate office twice about this matter. They have yet to call me back, so they are on my bad list too. While I like Lowes as a company, this particular store in Fairborn OH, is a poor representation of what I think Lowes wants to be. Their internal and external communications are terrible, they do not pass messages left for specific people (store and department managers), departments, or with the customer, let alone set up deliveries and follow up with the customer.
