I just spent half an hour waiting to check out at Lowes. The reason it took so long was that their card reader system was down, and they could only take cash. Of course, none of their employees could bother to tell the hundred or so people waiting in line about it. I only found when all of the people in front of me got disgusted and left. Even then, they didn't tell me until I was through checking out. I've always liked Lowes, but they just lost my business permanently.
