Lowes in-home installation nightmare...where do I begin?! Well we ordered a new front door and storm door on May 15, 2020 when an employee (Jake) from Salem Lowes came to the house to measure and give an estimate. We were told by him it would be about 4 weeks til it was installed due to backup from installers and Covid. Ok so...the first installer came by a couple days later to measure not once but twice and doubted he could do the job but he said he would try. Its not Lowes as much as the subcontractors they are sending to homes. They have put holes in walls, torn up baseboard moulding and put down floors with gaps , cracks and scratches in the home.
My friend and I just had a horrible experience with Lowes in Salem trying to buy a storm door and have it installed. We had to go back 5 times because the order got totally screwed up. They insisted they came to measure even though we said they did not. They showed up to install someone else's door. After a month of going back and forth even speaking with the installation manager, they wanted to charge almost $400 for a door that cost $109. We cancelled the order and Lowes lost 2 loyal customers.

Nothing. I don’t have anything nice to say.
After today, no more Lowe’s, especially the Salem store. “System” wasn’t working so had to fight to get my military discount, telling them you can at least manually over ride prices and put the discounted price. Sad I had to tell them how to do their job. And still wouldn’t do it on a door insert, even after talking to a manager. So I then had to use the credit card and only get 5% discount.
