Megan Campion & Abby Beransky are awesome volunteer coordinators for Lower Cape Fear Lifecare. The Veteran to Veteran volunteer program is outstanding and I highly encourage anyone looking for this type of activity to inquire about it through Lower Cape Fear Lifecare… it has been, is and will be always a rewarding experience for me

I want to preface this by saying that the initial person (Erin) that I dealt with during this incredibly heart breaking time was kind and upfront with me with getting hospice services established. Long story short my dad was put on hospice the night before he passed in the hospital GIP. I was told that a nurse would come that next day (the day he passed-which obviously we didn’t know would be that day). It has taken me almost a year to write this review, my experience with them was devastating. My mom was in bad shape and I was promised they had a supportive and reliable staff. They came in and just wanted to take her off of all her medications, which in turn would have made her increasingly worse. They told me they would get her a air mattress, they did not. They said if I called the nurse emergency hot line at night someone would come. The nurse on the hot line just gave me the run a round. My mom and me had another 3 mon... read more

Wow! What an amazing set up! This last year I've gone through the battle of stage 3 Cancer. My palative care nurse Call Nancy Tanzy Was like An angel sent from heaven! She took the best care of me and always made me feel so much better after every time I saw her! I can honestly say that I love her as we got close over the last year and she took such wonderful care of me !
