Most thorough eye exam I've ever received. Took time to explain things and gave great recommendations.
Rude and condescending during my visit. He had an intern in his office during my examination and I hope she treats her patients better than the treatment that I received. I almost walked out of his office, but he is the only optometrist that is familiar with my condition.
He may not be the most friendly, but he quickly observed CORRECTLY that I was likely having a stroke or TIAs (mini-strokes) and had me go straight to the E.R. with a letter thoroughly explaining his findings. I am positive this helped me receive prompt treatment (I was admitted) and prevented a full stroke. MUCH APPRECIATED!!!
We would never go back to him! we are a very elderly couple and he was very disrespectful, rude and condescending! The rest of the staff are very pleasant and efficient!
I saw Louis Schlesinger following an eye injury and again six weeks later when I had complications from the eye injury. He was rude, rushed and dismissive of my concerns. Both time he fitted me with an eye bandage I left in more pain than when I arrived. Also both times, when a different doctor replaced the eye bandage he placed, my pain was relieved. One of the times he left a piece of fuzz under the eye bandage and I was in agony until it was removed and cleaned. Avoid this doctor at all costs.
Dr. Schlesinger was behind schedule and I felt rushed. I thought I had an appointment with an Ophthalmologist but he’s an Optometrist. I presented with an eye infection and would not want to see him again. Research says there are three C’s of professionalism—Candor, Concrrn, and Competence. He failed to demonstrate concern and I find myself questioning his competence.
Went to Marietta Eye Clinic because they're supposed to be experts with Dry Eye and tricky contact issues. Dr. Schlesinger's brilliant diagnosis was "You're old. Use eye drops." Then he hands you off to a high-school educated "contacts fitter" to fumble through some vanilla suggestions for contacts that end up not really improving things. If their first suggestion for contacts isn't quite right, well, you're kind of stuck because they don't really have the patience or knowledge to work with you to refine it. You won't see th... read more
Dr. Schlesinger was fine but the staff at Marietta Eye Clinic (Acworth) was very disrespectful and rude. Kerry in the glasses department was very condescending and rude. I will never return to Marietta Eye Clinic again. And, I still have not received the information I needed to show I purchased a year of eye contacts. VERY poor customer service.
I've been a patient of Dr. Schlesinger for 7 years. He is an excellent and professional provider. I find him to be very respectful and willing to explain things when I've had a question. I also bring my teenager to him and we've had a good experience moving from glasses to contact lenses.
