There Must be a New Chef The food was amazing! There has to be a new Chef in the kitchen because the food taste even better than before. I had a dry aged steak that and an unbelievable appetizer. I would recommend this Steak house over any other place in downtown Grand Rapids. Amazing! Excellent job Chef!
Worst ever experiance Waited for 20 minutes to get our first cocktail. Then waited for 20 minutes between finishing that cocktail and getting another. Wanted to order food, but nobody offered and got sick of waiting. Wont be back.
OVERPRICED POOR QUALITY – I had the unfortunate opportunity to have a 6:30pm reservation at Louis Benton restaurant last night November 11, 2011. I will explain, this was not my first trip to the restaurant, but surely by far the worst. We arrived at 6:15pm and were immediately seated. We had availed ourselves of the groupon offer, and since we spend many evenings in downtown Grand Rapids, we are season ticket holders to the Grand Rapids Symphony. We were served wine it was good. The best steaks in town. You may want a reservation or get their early as they ran out of Prime Rib twice on me. Pricey, but worth it.
Dining at its best If you want a special place for a special night - Louis Benton's is it! The food is excellent, great menu selection, prices are a little on the high side, but for the food and atmosphere they offer, it is worth it.
