Disgruntled Staff Opinions? – I recently went to Louie's after not having been there in a while. The experience was solid, as always. While clearly not a downtown steak-house (i.e. grossly overprices, unbearably loud, confusingly busy), Louie's is among the best places to go on the south side for a steak and a drink. Don't believe everything you read – I am so happy that I didn't listen to what the people had to say, my husband and I went to the restaurant to celebrate his birthday. What ever happened to Good Service??? – Well, My husband and I recently went to Louie's Chophouse for dinner and I have to say I was beyond disappointed. We live in Oak Lawn and have been here before. We did not expect to be treated in the way that we were treated on this particular evening. Biggest Disappointment in a LONG TIME – Wow, what a huge disappointment! What hapened??? Louie's used to be such a great place to go to? A place that you could go to to get a good meal and good service and decent atmosphere! Now all you get is junk all the way across the board! The meal we got was edible at best, the drinks were pure distilled junk the service was shameful and the atmosphere was lacking! What a huge waste of time! Louie's stop going downhill! What a terrible evening at Louie's Chophouse! – I recently went to Louie's Chophouse for dinner with some friends. I have never been treated so rudely by staff at a restaurant! The hostess was just downright nasty! The bartenders seemed more interested in what they were planning to do later that evening and my drinks were not good at all! Best all around Dining Experience, even on a Friday night w/o reservations. – We stopped in at Louie's in Oak Lawn by coincidence. It was the BEST dining experience we've had in quite some time. We went on a Friday night, and while they where busy, the "crowd" didn't affect the service. The food was EXQUISITE! Get your facts straight – For the Reviewer speaking about Louies Dining Hell, Number one, I have been to Louie's many many times. Never have I had an experience such as the one that you are claiming to have had. Also, As for your slanderous comments that "Louie" was speaking in a lude manor, that would never happen. I spoke to the "mean hostess" about this and it seems as your facts along with I'm sure alot of other things, are off.
Rude Hostess, Mediocre at best – Last nights dinner at Louies was a waste of time and money. We had heard that the place was going downhill, but did not believe it. We were greeted by bright orange "Kathy" the hostess, who was by far the most rude hostess we have ever encountered. Dining Hell at Louie's – After a day of meetings we hit Louie's Circus House for dinner. The hostess was rude, not only to us, but also to the staff right in front of us. It was pretty busy for a thursday, so we were told we had to wait at the bar for our table.
