simply the best – I'm willing to be on Ali's wait list. She's the best and I've walked out with fabulous hair cuts from her. She listens as I ramble on about what I want, she gives her imput and, volia! beautiful, bouncy, shiny hair. You're always welcomed with a happy greeting and everyone there is fabulous as well. Eddie tells the best L.A. stories, but I go to Ali. Please don't book with her, because then I'll have to be on a longer wait list to see her :-)
"Hollywood" haircut – My friends told me about Lotus Salon and I just called and made appointment... I got Eddie and he was great! He gave me a "Hollywood" hairstyle (that's what he referred to it as) and then entertained me with some Bollywood music. I was very happy and got compliments the entire day!
Very time consuming, not very welcoming, but affordable and above average color – I recently went to the Lotus Salon located on Prince. I was really looking forward to it due to all of the positive reviews. When I walked in to the salon, no one greeted me or even acknowledged my presence. Great cut for not alot of $ – Funny, I just googled Lotus to find the phone number, but I have been going to the salon for a few years and noticed all the comments about Eddie on this page! Eddie does an amazing job, I've recommended him to several of my friends. I have fine, long, straight hair and he gave me the "jonathan" cut [from the TV show] which I find hilarious, yet I've received so many compliments. UPDATED -- EDDIE BEST AT COLOR & CUT! – My friend highly recommended Eddie at Lotus Salon and now I know why! I just returned home from my first color session and my hair looks AMAZING. I walked in with a nasty color job from a salon that shall remain nameless...I walked out a gorgeous California blond. Never a bad hair day – Having long been disillusioned from numerous crappy $100 haircuts in this city, I was thisclose to giving up and cutting my own damn hair, because I can give myself a bad haircut for free. Some friends from work recommended Lotus, so as last ditch effort I relented. I went into my first haircut with low expectations, and was surprised to find friendly, down-to-earth people. On and WAY off – A Lotus customer for years, I made an appointment today with a new stylist, Eddie. I've had several good and some great experiences at Lotus in the past... but NOT today. This stylist just did not get it. After a consultation and a quick shampoo (only, no conditioning) , I received almost the exact opposite of what I requested.
