Great Doctor! I can't believe some one would not like the people at lost mountain animal hospital. I brought my cat in cause she was not eating and not going to the litterpan. I couldn't afford to get shots and all this year, but Dr. Newsom just took my cat and helped her anyway. She worked out a way to keep my cat in the hospital and take care of her and now she's home and doing a lot better. All the people there are just as nice as they can be and the place smells nice too. I tell all my friends & family to go there cause ... read more
A Vet that Cares My dog is a mixed breed, but I love him very much. He is healthy so he only has to go to the animal hospital for check ups and for the yearly shots. How can someone complain about shots, heartworm, flea preventative, and a check up for under $200? The heartworm and FrontLine make up most of the charges AND they are the same price as at PetCo or PetSmart? The also have a program that provides ID cards for the dogs, it shows all the information about the pets shots and valid thru-dates. The are good to my Rock... read more
Best Pet Care! LMAH takes care of all 4 of our dogs. Three schnauzers and a Wal-Mart Special (from a shopping cart at the Hiram Wal-Mart). From yearly check-ups to "whoops - I ate the whole roast beef" visits have been handled both professionally and with loving attention to the dogs. One of the schnauzers, Fritz, was very ill last year and had to stay in their hospital for over a week -- but we were able to visit daily and were called at least twice a day with progress updates on his condition. He is doing great now and goe... read more
Outstanding Care for Courage! We have never been more impressed with the care and concern that we have been shown for ALL of our pets at Lost Mountain Animal Hospital. They did the initial puppy check on our mini-schnauzer, Courage. However, due to a outdated Parvo shot given by the breeder's vet, he developed Parvo. Dr. Newsome and her staff devoted love, care and came in during the middle of the night to check on our Courage baby. They went above and beyond in caring for him - and he survived Parvo. Unfortunately, he devel... read more
Best Care for my Cat My cat was very sick and the staff and veterinarian took care of her. I was so happy to get her back I hugged the vet and assitant. When I brought her in she couldn't get up. The Dr. called me every day to update me of her progress even on Sunday. I would recommend this hospital for your pets.
Avoid this poorly managed animal hospital! We have been taking our dog to this hospital for several years, mainly out of "convenience". Our dog has seizures and is on Phenobarbital. It is imperative that she receives her medicine regularly. When we took our dog in for her yearly blood screening, we requested that all necessary blood work be done in order to prevent a disruption in her medication. $93 later we were under the impression that this was completed. However, we learned soon after that it was not and further work wa... read more
It Felt Like a Car Sale Negotiation... As a new patient I brought our cat's 2 year med treatment. They didn't put it in chronological order to be able to properly review. As the only person in the waiting room, I thought we would be in and out - not so, we were there for 1 1/2 hours. Once in the room the assistant could not analyze the med history and came into and out of the room at least 3 times asking the same questions. Once Dr. Newsom came in and checked out cat, she was unable to diagnose or prescribe for asthma even t... read more
Over Priced! I dislike the Dr. Newsom very much I feel like she is making guess' and always wanting to either do xrays or bloodwork and it always comes back with no answers. I spend ALOT of money there and I am never completely satisfied. Boarding is horrible I recommend doing a tour before you leave your dog you would be surprised how small the cages are. Also don't bother paying for extra walks they don't hardly do them especially during busy boarding. Dr. Moore is alot nicer than Dr. Newsom and will call you back WAY more... read more
Wildly overpriced I took my 3 year old dog for an annual exam and shots, and a new puppy for a first exam and shots, and paid over $400! That is FOUR times what the bill should have been. They were nice enough but you can get VERY good care at a vet that will be good to you, your pet, and your wallet.
