The best of the Texas Hill Country. I recommend the west hike first. The east hike has more magnificent views though. Save the best, and less strenuous hike for last.
Stunning views, some of the best views in Texas. Waterfalls, panoramic Hill country with valleys, crystal clear Sabinal river and hikes that showcase it all.
The trees were past their prime but we did see some very beautiful ones. The weather was perfect. Our two-year-old grandson loved throwing rocks into the water. It was a wonderful afternoon trip.
Went last minute camping and hiking trip, so accepted that accommodations for a pop up camper would be scarce and or less than desirable. Fate lead us to the Lost Maples General Store/ RV park just less than 10 min. From State Park. Just need to say the folks who ran the RV park made it one of the best experiences of my life. They just attended to our needs like never experienced before.
