Dr. Chou surgically repaired my Achilles tendon in August 2024. She has a brisk but cheerful bedside manner and was able to get me into surgery the next business day after my initial consult. While the recovery from Achilles surgery can be daunting, I think that she and her team did a fantastic job. The WORSE foot so called doctor or surgeon EVER!! She butchered my foot and left for vacation! My left foot nerves were damaged by this butcher. She does not care for patients and has no bed side manner. I will never ever forget my experience with her and her staff. How can I when every time I put my left foot in any kind of shoe I feel the excruciating pain she caused me.The pain and agony she caused me is with me for the rest of my life. I will never forgive this butcher.
Dr Chou was great for me. While her bedside manners might not be the best, I found her to be a competent no nonsense doctor who managed to diagnose a previously undiagnosed problem and get it solved. I have been very impressed by her competence and directness, and appreciate that in a doctor way more than participating in my own medical care. I do not happen to have an MD.
Dr Chou has been a lifesaver to both me and my wife. Her skillful repair of the bunion surgery botched by an Atascadero podiatrist has said my wife's foot. Then two years later, I shattered by big toe, and she reconstructed the bone beautifully. She is a FANTASTIC foot surgeon. I live 4 hours from Stanford and have no qualms using her skills even if many return post surgery appointments are needed.
