Food not greasy, large portions, salsa fresh , homemade chips and tortillas........
Been going to Lopez since they opened on Wilcrest location back in the 70’s and always enjoyed eating there and will continue going �

The Katy restaurant is not welcoming as the Stafford location. I'll return to the original restaurant from now on.
Delicious as always. There was a line. But that’s a good thing. It’s only been open for less than 2 weeks. I have been going to their other location for years. So happy they are out here now. Food was just as good.
I understand typical opening jitters. So let’s move past those to the food. I ordered combo fajitas for one at $15.25. I received four grey strips of beef and four opaque strips of chicken. They had zero flavor or seasoning. The rice and beans also lacked spice. In fact the only thing which had flavor was the salsa, which I liked after our wait to receive it. The Lopez family reputation has followed to this new endeavor. Same quality and same detail to service. Anytime we visit another Mexican restaurant we say “it’s ok but it’s not Lopez”. You have to try the beef enchiladas! Get the Ocampo and substitute one beef enchilada for one cheese. They’re both great. I could crumble chips in the salsa and eat it with a spoon. The food was delicious as always. We loved everything we ordered. The drinks were also very tasty. Looking forward to the full menu and regular business hours very soon. We will definitely be back again and again!
