Finally made it to Lonnie’s and we were not disappointed. Had the Italian sausage and Italian beef between the 2 of us and already longing for a return to try other items. Yes it’s a small, cozy place, but we loved it and have nothing but praise.
First and foremost the place is extremely small. We had a party of 4 and we had to sit at two different tables, and sections. The food was a bit expensive for what you get. One hotdog no matter how good it really is isn’t worth $4 or more each. The service was a bit slow. When we arrived there was 4-5 people in front of us. It took about 10 mins before it was our turn to order. All in all the food is not bad, just a little over priced.
Excellent food and great service. Will definitely be back soon.
Best cheeseburger ever (I eat Keto, so they happily did a bunless!). Super friendly and efficient and very clean. Obviously a popular place, with a steady stream of regular customers. I’m from NC, and my son took me there bc he’s a regular. The hot dogs also looked amazing, so I may have to stop in there again before heading home.
The food is great. Owner is awesome. Brings that Chitown flavor down south. Only place around that makes me feel like I'm back home. Sweet Home Chicago
You can’t be in Louisville and not stop at Lonnie’s for lunch! Thanks Lonnie and Diane for years of great friendship and food.
