We were planning to stay at this resort but had to cancel because our plans changed. I canceled before the time I had to, and have the written confirmation from email earlier in the week to indicate that everything was canceled properly. Tonight I checked my card and found out that they charged my card with a large deposit anyway, despite the fact that I canceled. Beach and pool were great. Service was good. But the hotel itself is dated. A/C was broke... but the staff did fix it in a timely manor. Our balcony was behind someone else’s balcony which killed any privacy. If they had a little face lift with some updates it would be much better.

We recently joined the social membership and are down in longboat periodically throughout the year. We live next door in beach place and come over and use the gym daily. We came in yesterday to use the gym and we were going to leave our daughter in the lobby on her iPad to watch childrens program and not bother a soul, an were told under no circumstances was that allowed. Great place for a family vacation
Gorgeous!
Cheap toilet paper, one elevator broken while other one has no AC. Paid and reserved a cabana on the beach but staff kept taking my cabana chairs for other guests if I wasn’t constantly nearby. Room staff were polite but they could barely speak English which was a problem when asking for help with missing amenities.

The room pool and ocean view was absolutely amazing however the customer service was horrible ... never have I felt so disrespectful in personal or professional stay... The look I got when I walked in the lobby made me feel like I didn’t belong ... we stayed in suite and the ice machine was broken we called several times with nobody coming to fix the issue it wasn’t resolved till someone went to go to the lobby to complain and request for a bucket of ice ... u shouldn’t have to go to the lobby for something that could be han... read more
