About this business

Located in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards, this restaurant resides in a saloon-style building loaded with Western ambiance. Horse saddles hang from the walls and a large wooden bar stretches across the dining room. A tin ceiling adds to the rustically authentic charm. Chef and owner Tim Love is a native Texan, which is obvious in his most-requested specialty, roasted garlic-stuffed beef tenderloin. Other menu items emulate Italian, Spanish, Mexican and Asian fare, including the buffalo rib eye and quail quesadillas.

My visit was for dinner on February 6, 2015. I had made reservations for 7:30 pm. Our party arrived a few minutes early and was seated about 7:40. Our server was knowledgeable and provided excellent service throughout the meal. My main disappointment was with the food. While tasty, the appetizers were exceedingly tiny in their portion size. Likewise, my chicken fried steak was only fair. It was sliced only a couple millimeters thick and the presentment of the entree left the breading soggy on the bottom. (It was presented on... read more

Such an amazing experience here. The food was perfect, but the service took it to a true fine dining experience. I didn't know what to expect, but we were all blown away. My brother and I took my mom for her 60th birthday, and we told the restaurant that. All of the staff were aware and told my mom happy birthday, and they'd even signed a birthday card for her and placed it on our table as a surprise. Our server Justin was attentive, but not overbearing and never interrupted, and he was extremely knowledgable about the menu.... read more

My wife and I have been here a few times now to celebrate special occasions. The service and food are impeccable. A must for "foodies." The Elk Sliders and lamb popsicles were mouth watering. The esspresso flan melts in your mouth. The Elk loin was delicious. The jalapeño cucumber margaritas are amazing. We are never dissapointed. Our favorite place in DFW.

We visited your restaurant this past Saturday evening for a Bachelorette Party Girl's Dinner. We were EXTREMELY disappointed with our experience. Our group of 9 ordered some items to share and some ordered individual meals. The 2 meals came out along with the sides that the other 7 were sharing. Our tenderloins did not come out for over 35 minutes. The Manager offered us the Kangaroo nachos to make up for the delay with our food. which was kind, but didn't make up for the lack of the horrible timing. By the time the two girl... read more

We have eaten at Lonesome Dove many times, but this time on New Years Eve service was not up to Lonesome Dove standards. We had to ask for bread after we got our salads. We had to ask for the complimentary glass of champagne, which we got with our desserts. Then when the check is delivered there is a $52.00 for food charge. I asked our waiter was that was, and he said he would take care of it. When the check came back the $52.00 was now listed as gratuity. I asked for the manager because mandatory gratuity had never been add... read more

We have not been in about 2 years. I just remember the filet being a little more flavorful. Out of the 3 appetizers we ordered could only say I liked the slidders enough to order again. We had our reservations for a month prior for 5:30 they put us downstairs, I would have preferred upstairs just for the atmosphere. It was cold in the wine cellar just not cofortable like upstairs. The biggest disappoint was my steak. Sorry Tim
