I received a bill in the mail for my child's ER visit. Upon reviewing the bill, they only gave me one way to pay the bill, through MyChart. Only problem is my daughter is over the age of 12, so I don't have access to her MyChart. I had her create an account but the bill isn't listed. The phone numbers listed on the bill continue to say their office is closed. I want to start by saying this was the worst hospital stay I have experienced in over 50 years. When I was first brought to my room, the very first thing I noticed was the condition of the floors. They were filthy—paper scraps, syringe caps, dust, and dirt were scattered throughout the room. It was shocking to see such poor cleanliness in a hospital setting. My husband has been a patient at Loma Linda for five years. Every time he has needed to go to the emergency room, it has been chaotic. He is a complex patient with multiple organ diseases. His kidneys were compromised due to heart failure and the actions of the cardiology team.
