This center is a non-profit facility and a great for place for education, preservation and monitoring of one of the world's most active sea turtle nesting grounds. The center acts as a school, providing internships, tours and programs. Plus the park's amenities include a guarded beach, nature trails and picnic areas, but the main attractions are the leatherback sea turtles.

My parents use to bring me and my brother here when we were littles. Now I get to bring my own kiddos. My daughter was so touched by this place she donated her tooth fairy money. Love her kind heart and the kind hearts of all the volunteers.
Pretty cool place! It is evident that the people who work there enjoy what they do. My little one loved it, a very nice place to visit. Hope to make it back on Wednesday to wish Roerig safe travels on his journey back to the ocean!
Went with my family today. Wonderful place with wonderful staffs. Thank you for taking good care of these turtles.

We were informed they were rescuing baby turtles who got confused by the lights from a construction sight and were heading straight for a major road, so we asked if we could help. They told us absolutely, and there began a love for turtles. We rescued many little guys and placed them back into the ocean and watched th... read more
My husband and I were sitting on the beach last night after dark watching for turtles when two young ladies from the center approached us and told us we were not allowed to use a red light on the beach. We understood that it was OK to do so, but we immediately complied. They were very rude and officious toward us and completely ruined our evening because of their attitudes towards us. I have been a turtle lover and supporter for many years and look forward to coming here to see turtles. The center needs to spend more time tr... read more
I visited your location earlier today and was in "awe" at the beauty that not only surrounds it but is within it. The care you provide the turtles is amazing and the information you provide to the kids about caring for the environment and looking after these animals is heart-warming. Crossing over to the beach is a treat. I truly enjoyed visiting and taking part of this mornings event... Thanks again for having us, it was truly a pleasure ❤️
