Dr. Dickerson rocks! I had a brain tumor the size of a grapefruit. Found out after having seizures at work. He was called in by Wesley Hosp. Took a week to reduce swelling. Surgery was a success! Thank you Abay, Dr. Dickerson and the staff.
I called the number in my discharge paperwork as the information instructed. I got a recorded message as I figured I would get telling me to leave a message, which I did, and I would get a call back from the nurse on call, nurse Kathy, which I didn't get. 12 hours later I called and left another message to please call me back which I still haven't gotten. Dr lothes was great had a beain tumor it was benign he did the surgery was a great team it was like an emergency surgery found outvi had the tumor on thursday dr consulted him was life watched to wichita had surgery on monday
I won't go back. I have spina bifida, Arnold Chiari malformation and a non functioning shunt. I have experienced headaches since last October and most recently vomiting and falling. In January Dr. Weimar suggested it was either thyroid or eating habits (I eat healthy) and told me to reschedule with the PA in 3 months. The PA then told me I am experiencing migraines. The care coordinator does not return phone calls.
I am very disappointed with Dr grundmeyer and staff. Front desk staff is rude and doesn't return phone calls. When they do.....they act like you are an inconvenience to them. Also dr grundmeyer acted as if my brain tumor wasn't important. It is worth driving to university of kansas hospital for a consult with the neurosurgery department. Took me a week to get in...I will be having my surgery next week. Took me 3 months just for a consult with Dr grundmeyer.
