Told my dad he had sun blisters and when we got a second opinion it turned out to be precancerous sores! The front staff is very rude and smart mouthed. His nurse is wonderful! I hate we had a bad experiences and we will not be back.
There's a reason you call and make an appointment within few days, where every other Dermatologist you wait for months. It has been several days since my appointment and I still can't get over my experience. The people up front were terrible. I heard the manager talking down to the staff in front of patients. ROLL TIDE FANS! DR. JASON LOCKRIDGE IS AWESOME AS DERMATOLOGIST. HE REALLY UNDERSTANDS EVERY PATIENTS CONCERNS AND LISTENS TO THEIR REQUEST. MY INVOLVEMENT AS A NURSE REQUIRES ME TO ACCURATELY COMMUNICATE WITH THE DOCTOR AND THE PATIENTS. 667
had a lesion on my leg that i've been documenting photos on my phone for 2 weeks. Dr. Lockridge came in the exam room and said he was going to take my phone, to which i replied i have photos to show him of the progression of my lesion, and he replied that he didn't need to see them, he took my phone out of my hand, and looked at the lesion 2 seconds and told me that it was eczema. I know people with eczema, and mine doesn't look a thing like theirs and mine doesn't itch. Never has itched.
The office service was horrible, I've been trying to get an itemized bill with the diagnostic code for over a month! Each week I'm told to allow another two weeks. the office manager will not come to the telephone and this has been a nightmare to say the least. I haven't received a return call either.
I want to express how good this group of people were. I had to drive over an hour to get there. I waited a while longer than I would have preferred, but when my nurse called me back it took very little time to be seen by the doc. She was very pretty, young, entergetic and bubbly. I noticed she smiled and laughed the entire time, with all the patients that she had. I was diagnosed with Eczema and a possible allergic reaction. This week I visited dr. Lockridges office for the first time. It was a good experience, I had to wait approximately 10 minutes. His waiting room was packed! At others I wait an hour! One little nurse called me back, took my history and what I was there for. Very sweet on point and intelligent. Within five minutes the dr and the another nurse came in and He was only in there for a few minutes. He was fast but I could tell he was good. I did take a list with me and wouldnt look at it at all! Today was my first visit at Alabama skin institute. It was a pleasant visit. The girl up front was extremely nice. The little nurse called me back immediately. I had just sat down. I went in for a overall skin cancer check and luckily was perfect. The dr. Was a little fast, which is okay for me because I have a busy schedule and was in and out. Overall is was a good experience. Everyone was extremely nice an Everyone was very welcoming.
I have been a patient of dr Lockridge for many years. He has gone through several staff members but now has a wonderful staff. I look forward to going in. He is very fast but very efficient. He only has two nurses and they handle it extremely well. Both are very sweet and intelligent. I was in yesterday morning and always like to see the beautiful little white one heather, holly something with an "H".
