Updated below...Awesome place! Nice lunch on the patio. We took our 2 year old daughter, and our server, Kristin, was so sweet with her that we brought her some cupcakes from the bakery down the street :-). Will definitely be back! UPDATE- Went for a second visit...and was not impressed. We actually never even got to eat! When we arrived, the hostess said it would be about 20-25 minute wait for a table for 6. Love this place. Great food, beers and locally owned. If you eat anywhere else in downtown Lawrenceville you are missing out.

Good food and great service this afternoon at The Local Republic!
We arrived at 7:05 pm and did not get seated until 8:45 pm. The Local Republic can't deal with parties larger than 4. We had 5. We love the place, but don't tell us that the wait is 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes when it was closer to 2 hours. They need to expand upstairs or at least have kerosene for their outside heaters, which they did not last night. Poor planning on their part. Great food and service though. By 9 PM, there was no longer a wait and they pushed together 2 tables for us. C'mon man! 4-5 stars for the food ... read more
