The server, while friendly, messed several of the orders up. My husband’s steak was cooked incorrectly, we got the completely wrong appetizer, and a salad was brought out incorrectly. Our table was never cleared of empty glasses or plates during our entire meal. Fries were cold. My food (shrimp and grits) was great, but I was confused why the tails were left on the shrimp...maybe that’s their thing. I will not be returning. Great atmosphere, but service can lose you customers quite rapidly.
Very slow service. Waitress went awol, requests went in one ear and out the other, adopted an attitude and automatically charged us 20% tip when the number of people dining was under the stated number.
If waiting 45 minutes for waters and an hour and a half for fries to share for the table sounds like a good time, this is the place for you. Definitely won’t be visiting Local Overton Square again.

One Star for the server... Unfortunately yesterday was the last time I will support this establishment!!! The quality has dipped to a level I refuse to enter this place. Sorry friends, I’ll pass. Maybe next door but the Local has lost me. What happened? Cutting corners in a restaurant will not bring back repeat business. To those who love the greasy food, it’s all you!!!! Sorry management, it’s not a negotiable deal. You served the food and it wasn’t the first time, but the last for me. I felt sorry for the server!!!
We plan to never attend again... service was incorrect and slow...

There was not much good about this place. Soured iced tea. A salad that listed walnuts in it’s name was served with no walnuts. A dirty plate was set before me. The waiter seemed confused. He never asked if anyone wanted refills or another beer. It seemed the AC was barely working. It was pretty much a disaster in there. You could see the kitchen staff laughing and playing around, eating, no wonder our food was incorrect and they served rancid tea.
