I called no less than 5 times to try to get connected to a nurse navigator. I was continuously told they would call me back that afternoon. The afternoon came and no phone call. Then I was told the nurse navigator I was paired with was on vacation so a new nurse navigator would need to time to review my chart. Dr Luke Huerter told me that my cancer was inoperable incurable and I would be dead in two years. He was cold and condescending. Needless to say I got a second opinion and here I am two years later. I had surgery to remove the tumor and continued treatment and I am now cancer free. He gave me no hope and was clueless on how to help me. I am an African American woman so it may have been that he felt that I wasn't worth saving. He was wrong in every way.

My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in June of 2016. He received skilled, wonderful, kind and thoughtful care from Dr. Luke Huerter, the nurses and the staff here. I lost my sweetheart of 35 years in December, but I know he had the best care possible.
