Refused to tell me the name of the doctor I saw 11 months ago and refused to fax my xray to another doctors office. This is basic patient care….will never use this hospital again.
Update: I can't thank The care team and everyone who has played a part in getting me to surgery through surgery and after care. Every nurse, doctor, receptionist, not a single person caused any problems and went above and beyond. Thank you to everyone at LMH. You really do feel like youre part of a big family here. The care I have received has been phenomenal. I specifically have been dealing with the spine care and neurosurgery. The nurses were wonderful and Dr. Crabtree-Wilson takes her time and listens. What once was a showcase in healthcare for the Lawrence and Douglas County Communities under the leadership of Gene Meyer, current leadership has allowed to self implode to current state of disaster LMH Health is. How the Board of Trustees has been so blind to see a mass exodus of amazing physicians in recent years and not ponder “why?”’is beyond me. I recently was a patient in the ED. Been here since 425. Seen doctor 1 time. Nurse only to do IV. no checking vitals, no checking fluids. Ain't even in a room. We've been in the hallway since 445. NO one coming to check on us. Horrible service the YOUNG girls that come to take him down for CT said it was for his left hand but dr told us he was doing his head because of headache and dizziness.
I never leave reviews. Like never. But this really rubbed me the wrong way. I’m sitting here at home trying to get advice if I should go into the hospital. I called asking to speak to a nurse or someone and the person on the other line was very short and rude to me and actually just straight hung up on me. I know your job must be real annoying taking phone calls, i’ve been there, but not the field to be disrespectful like this.
