History lesson for y'all George Washington Littlefield (June 21, 1842 – November 10, 1920) was a Confederate Army officer, cattleman, banker, and regent of the University of Texas. In 1861, Littlefield volunteered in the 8th Texas Cavalry, popularly known as Terry's Texas Rangers. He commanded the company at the Battle of Shiloh. Donated loads to UT at the time. Put up Confederate statues. Got the fountain built. Donated his house when he died. I'm neutral, but that's just some history on the background of this place.
its very beautiful
The Littlefield House is an excellent example of a late 19th century Victorian style mansion. It is located on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. The grounds of the home feature a rare (for Texas) Deodar Cedar tree (Cedrus deodara) transplanted to the site from the Himalayan Mountain region.
