Established in 1972, it is named after the stream that runs through the park. Check out historic sites such as Blue Ball Tavern, Shoaff's Mill and Clays Covered Bridge. Besides the Holman Lake, there is a huge swimming pool with slides and a spray-ground. Though you can't swim in the lake, you can boat, fish and kayak. Love Little Buffalo State. My daughter loves the pool and we all love the picnic grounds and hiking trails. The Christmas Trail of Lights is a fantastic event.
I absolutely love the park! I have been going there since I was a child. There is absolutely nothing I can complain about. My mom and I have went on so many hikes on their various trails in the wooded areas. Sure I feel like I'm gonna die from all the hiking uphill but its well worth it to be in nature and to see the beautiful views. I have so many amazing and cherished memories at this place. Cannot wait till I have little ones of my own to share it with!
My husband and I went to Little Buffalo Park for their Christmas lights and it was a spectacular, well-maintained event! It was so cute! We both decided to try and make it a tradition to go there every Christmas. We loved it :)
Was there for the hayride. Stood in line for 3hours for a 5min ride.... Was not worth the drive there from lock haven.
