Established in 1972, it is named after the stream that runs through the park. Check out historic sites such as Blue Ball Tavern, Shoaff's Mill and Clays Covered Bridge. Besides the Holman Lake, there is a huge swimming pool with slides and a spray-ground. Though you can't swim in the lake, you can boat, fish and kayak. Love that place so relaxing there and quiet and peaceful
This park is one of the best kept secrets in Pennsylvania. There is something for everyone and its very neat and well maintained. I did the 10K walk around the lake on December 27th and completely enjoyed myself.
Other than having to park so far away it was a great time and my grandson was all smiles the whole night. Santa and Mrs. Claus were just wonderful and great with the kids.
We took our son and family to see the Christmas lights tonight. First of all there was no sign directing you where to enter the park for the lights. Then instead of starting to park people close as they came in they took us so far away my elderly grandparents had to sit in the car because they couldn't walk that far. There were no lights along the roads to see where you were going. The staff that were supposed to be directing traffic just stood around useless. They didn't tell people where to go even when asked.
