Lise was God sent when I was referred to her 9 years ago for depression, anxiety and panic attacks after the sudden death of a childhood best friend. I had never been to a therapist before Lise and didn’t know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised and meet with Lise for over a year. Since then I have referred others to her and seek her out when I need emotional maintenance. She helped me through a very difficult time and once through the crisis she helped me handle other life stressors.

I would recommend anyone see Ms. Schiffer if they are considering counseling, especially if they are unsure or ambivalent about seeing a psychotherapist. Having seen a few different therapists in my life, I am thrilled to know of one who is so much more than a positive soundboard and listener. Lise has a technique to what she does and I have always left her office with a new understanding and perspective on whatever it is I am trying to figure out.

Lise came highly recommended. She is genuine, easy to talk to, listens deeply&with compassion. She offers unique insight without beating around the bush. Lise has empowered me to examine myself and to discover and connect with deep core issues. Lise is an excellent counselor. She is very real, open-minded, compassionate, has a great sense of humor and she will challenge you. I think back to my early sessions and remember how much I grew, and quite quickly. Though they were sometimes difficult, I looked forward to my sessions. Every session I learned something new about myself and new tools were added to my toolbox. Lise helped me build a foundation that can't be lost. I would recommend her to ANYONE.

Lise is a wonderful therapist who has helped me a great deal. She provides a great listening ear and I especially love her focus on practical problem solving. Through my work with her I've been able to establish healthier boundaries and lines of communication with my family and significant other. Through careful listening and soundly genuine encouragement, Lise empowered me to not only put my situation into perspective, but gave me coping tools for future stressful situations. Furthermore, she did not try to lengthen my time with her just so she could keep billing insurance. I highly recommend Lise as she is the real deal.
