When I found out, I had two pretty significant size nodules on my thyroid I asked the ICU docs that I worked with what I should look for in a surgeon to do my surgery. Dr. Kuo is amazing! She performed an adrenalectomy on my mother and the care she provided was exceptional. At the initial meeting, Dr. Kuo discussed the results of my mother’s scans and explained why surgery was necessary. She outlined what the surgical procedure entailed and then patiently answered all our questions. Great doctor. Highly recommend.
Dr Kuo performed an adrenalectomy on my daughter. The surgery went well. She left immediately for vacation. There was NO post surgical apt scheduled. After 10 she called to ask how she was. NO ONE saw the wound ever. She left her with 1 month of replacement hormones and NO REFERRAL to an endocrinologist. If her primary hadn't stepped in she could have died. It was insanely irresponsible of her...possibly MALPRACTICE. Do NOT trust this woman!!
