Fabulous Mojitos! – I've only eaten at Limon' once and I've been wanting to go back ever since. It's a little pricy for the portions you get, but the food is delicious! I pulled up their website and found the dish I ordered, "Seco de cordero tender lamb stew prepared in a traditional Peruvian style with black beer, cilantro and aji Amarillo. Served with garlic rice and salsa criolla." It was absolutely amazing! Coupled with one of Limon's 10 Cane Mojitos, it's an experience worth passing on. Parking, as with almost any downt... read more
Amazing!!! Truly is one Denver's BEST! – Finally, we had a chance to try it. Heard great things and all that, but proof is in the puddin', as they say. Started with the ceviche, the traditional one and the scallops. Oh my god! They have these pisco sours, a peruvian brandy of sorts, we had 2 each and they were devine, never had them before. The food was also something special. They twist it up like they say, but the duck and halibut I'd come back for any time. My husband and I were also very surprised by the pricing, very re... read more
Amazing food.....terrible service. – The food is wonderful, great flavor! I love eclectic food and what they offer is nothing short of eclectic. At risk of butchering the names of the items offered, try the cebiches (seafood salsa), the potato cakes, the chicken kabobs (the spices are incredible!), and above all, you cannot pass up the Plantain Chips, I'm so addicted I'm learning to make them at home. HOWEVER, beware that the service is insanely slow and poor at best. I've been there twice now and both times the servers were... read more
Needs work – I went with two girlfriends to this restaurant last night. I had heard the mixed reviews but still wanted to try it. First off, the interior and lighting are very nice. Good thing too because we waited a long, long time for dinner. They do not take reservations for parties of less than six. It took us forever to get our drinks and an appetizer. In the end we decided to sit at the bar for dinner because it was going to take a century to get a table. We ordered a carafe of sangria. It was okay but had a bit of a f... read more
not peruvian food, chef has no idea about peruvian gastronomi culture from peru – I went to the restaurant knowing by others that this place wasnt worth it but i give it a try and my surprise was that the food its absolutley not what a real peruvian food should be the CAUSA LIMENA its aout of flavor the CEVICHE A LA CHORRILLANA very poor on flavor I can't believed that the owner its marketing his product as peruvian food IT'S NOT THIS CAN BE ANYTHING BUT PERUVIAN FOOD NOT RECOMENDED
Not worth the wait, definitely wouldn't recommend it! – I read the reviews of the other posters and had heard good things about this restaurant so decided to give it a try. My friend was open to checking it out again too, even though she had gone opening night and had a bad experience. We arrived at 6pm on a Wednesday night. The place was pretty full and the hostess told us that it would be a 1/2 hour wait. After an hour we inquired as to how much longer it would be ... they said "not long". After another 1/2 hour and seeing... read more
Best new restaurant in Denver – I went to Limon last night (Monday) for the first time and absolutely loved everything about it. This site says to make reservations, but they don't take reservations for parties under 6 people, so we waited about 30 minutes for a table. It was WELL worth it. We had drinks and appetizers in the bar (the fritadas were amazing). The meal was second to none - I had the ahi and my friend had the duck. We sampled a few of the cocktails - all of which were fantastic. I will return to this spot regul... read more
Great food! – The drinks are wonderful. Great mojitos. The dining experience is very intimate. It's great for meeting up with a group of friends or a date. The small cocktail area is perfect for sharing an appetizer and a few cocktails with friends. The menu is not huge but if you are familiar with Peruvian cuisine then there is something for everyone on it.
Habit-forming South American fare, powerful cocktails, and infectious energy go hand-in-hand at this uptown hangout. – In Short Chef-owner Alex Gurevich's South American edibles bring stylish Denverites to this burgundy-hued restaurant decorated with exposed brick, wide-plank floors and antique wine casks. Menu items range from quinoa-crusted scallops with spinach and parsnip puree to crisp-skinned duck confit with cilantro rice and green mango. The happy hour pulsates to a lively beat and the patio overflows with trendy rev... read more
