I could not stop myself from writing about this place. I am here for few days and will be going back to this cafe for every lunch and dinner. Today me and my wife had a Potato Salad and Pasta. No doubts it was the best Potatao Salad and Pasta I ever had. The best part is that everything is organic and vegetarian. They donot use any meat, fish or eggs. Nothing better in the Umpqua Valley than a great ride with friends through the vineyards, orchards and ranches intersected with bread, soups, salads, and pastries that rival those found in Europe! Today I found a men's gold wedding ring with a special engraving inside with a date and name.i found it at the light house bakery. Would love to find the owner.
I used to live on this farm back in 1976-1978...glad to see it is being put to a wonderful use as a retreat, farm, and store. Much Joy!
Most amazing carrot cake! The sourdough and cheese bread are also some of my favorites.
It is always a treat to stop in for lunch, coffee, sweet treats (including ice cream!) at Lighthouse. Add to that, the super kind and friendly people, the amazing view from inside the cafe, outside on the covered porch, or in the peaceful and beautiful back garden. It's well worth the short drive from Roseburg or off I5 on the way to someplace else. We are lucky to have LIghthouse in our community!
