We have used Life’s Journey for hospice respite care several times in the past, but this most recent experience was absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. Do not be fooled by the nice building and upscale interior. When nurses and staff lack compassion, patience, and genuine care for their patients, appearances mean nothing. My family recently used Life's Journey for hospice respite entrusting my wife with severe dementia to their care. Her experience was disastrous. There was no air conditioning throughout her visit. The humidity in the room was so high, that the electronics including her bed quit working and she had to be moved to another room her last night. Her medications were not administered properly resulting in her experiencing a catatonic state of consciousness during most of her stay. We called a week ago to start palliative care for my mother. They did call back 2 days later...the. said they would call back again to set up a time to meet and never heard from anyone. This is not what we need at a time like this. I would never recommend.
