This is by far the best women's health center I've gone to - I never feel rushed, everyone takes time to answer my questions fully, and I'm never (EVER) made to feel like I'm taking up too much time or being a bother. The team at Lifecycle is absolutely incredible.
Had to leave because the birth center made me feel dehumanized. They refuse to ever use the word woman (finally took it out of their name! I knew that was going to happen). Unless you don’t mind always being called birthing parent or chestfeeding parent and worrying about pronouns, I’d advise you go elsewhere. On my first visit the midwife asked if I’m a woman who goes by she / her - isn’t the point of knowing my pronouns to not make assumptions about me anyway ? I have nothing but positive things to say about the care at Lifecycle! All of the staff are incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and they really meet you where you are at. I loved my prenatal care there and had an amazing delivery experience at the birth center. The South Philly office where I went for my prenatal, postnatal and lactation appointments was so convenient. Living in South Philly and planning a birth at the birth center in Bryn Mawr would not have been as feasible without the South Philly office. It was easy to sched... read more
