Lidia's KC was on point!! The food was declious & service impeccable. I live in NY & have dined at most of Lidia's restaurants. I recommend all of them if you love traditional Italian cuisine.
We recently went here for a bachelorette party and had an AWFUL experience. Our waitress was rude, most of the food choices were unavailable and we had a 9:00 P.M. reservation that was booked two weeks in advance, and we finally got sat at our table around 9:45 P.M. The next week I was looking over my credit card statement and realized I had been charged TWICE as much as my receipt showed. If I had the option, I would give 0 stars. The service was poor. The meal was not even near the money that we paid. For the amount of money that we spent at this restaurant, I expect the service and the food to be good or at least above average. We spend over $100 and I wish I had my money back. I will never go back to this establishment. It's really too bad, I heard so many good things but this experience has been very disappointing especially a local restaurant. I've given Lidia's a lower rating because they only acknowledge positive reviews. I was a little disappointed in my most recent visit to Lidia's. I take my sister to Lidia's every year for a Christmas/birthday meal and it wasn't as good as it normally was. Printed on the menu was the pear and cheese ravioli (our favorite - and we were really looking forward to it)...but what came out was different. Without a doubt, one of the best meals I've had.
The atmosphere and ambiance was terrific. Staff was great. Food was excellent. I'd come back for sure.
