Patients beware. This office will lie to you about your liability for payment and will try to get more than they should. I had contacted them prior to making an appointment and my insurance verified with then directly that I would have no out of pocket cost for my diabetic retinopathy exam. So 2 months after my exam I get a bill for them wanting the difference from what they charge and what my insurance paid. First time visit to Liberty Ophthalmology. Was experience seem unusual eye symptoms and wanted a full exam to ensure there was nothing major going on. From the time I called in through the time I left, I was very pleased with my experience. Kathy received my call, asked great questions and worked with me to find a time to get me in as soon as possible. I'm delighted with the experience I had with Dr. Lothes and his team. They were consistently kind, knowledgeable and supportive from my initial call through to my appointment and follow-up. This level of care stands out, especially compared to other ophthalmologist offices I encountered in the area while seeking assistance. I highly recommend Liberty Ophthalmology.
