I'm surprised to see negative comments. I was so enthused after my first visit at the Lexington Hospital for Cats. The staff is top notch with an undoubtedly genuine passion for what they do. Dr. Mills takes scrupulous care when it comes to running her business and training her staff. I am offered a discount on vet care at my place of employment, yet I choose to bring my cats to LHC because it is there that I know they will receive the best care.

Dr. Mills is an excellent vet When I first had my Persian I lived in Chicago. Neither of the vets I took him to there recognized that he had an eye infection (I assumed Persians just always had goopy eyes.) I took him to Dr. Mills when I came to Lexington, and she realized immediately and gave me some cream, and he has been fine ever since. My cat is also a little hard to handle, but the techs here handle him great. I also was living out of the country with my cat for a little while and Dr. Mills corresponded with me about v... read more

Keep looking Keep on looking. The clinic is beautiful and the staff, for the most part, is very nice. The doctor, however ruins it. I took my cat there one time this winter, and will never go back! My cat acted perfectly for me and the technicians, but when the doctor came into the room, her rough handling and loud voice made my cat very upset (she hid under the bed for two days!). The doctor began to scream, I mean yell loudly, at one of the technicians, who finally just ran from the room in tears! Then, the doctor began to... read more

What? I don't believe anonymous's review for a minute. Dr. Mills is very gentle and good with the cats. I have never heard her raise her voice at all, or call a cat "horrible". No, the cats don't really like going there, but it is a VET, they aren't going to like being handled by a stranger and stuck with needles. Dr. Mills is very knowledgeable and dedicated to keeping your cats healthy. This vet's office is slightly more expensive than others but the personal attention and expertise makes it well worth it. I moved 30 miles... read more

Great place! Is anonymous representing a competing business? Or a disgruntled employee? I wouldn't take their reviews at face value.

Be careful what you listen to I personally know NOTHING about the LHC (except for what one of my coworkers has said, which is that she LOVED that job), but if every single person posting majorly negative (a.k.a. she yells a lot) things is anonymous, I'm kind of wary. Also, anyone that attacks someone personally (she needs some sort of medication), isn't being very objective in how they rate the clinic. Maybe they had some sort of falling out?

Not such a good place There's no sense in calling someone a liar. Nobody would go out of their way to write a review if the situation never happened. I worked for Dr. Mills and know for a FACT, first hand, that YES she is a great vet. She cares about all the cats that come into her hospital. But, she treats her employees as insignificant & disposable. I cannot count the times she has made me feel worthless, and has done so in front of customers. The reason there is always different staff when you go into her clinic is becaus... read more

An ok place to take your cat I took my cat to this place when he had trouble with his ears. Alice , the vet wanted to immediately do surgery on him. I wanted to wait to see if the medicine would work. The medicine worked and he got better and did not need the surgery. She got mad when i did not bring him in for the surgery. My cat didn't think to much of this place either.
