Don't do it. Slum city. There are too many issues to list them all. Don't sign the co ntract unless every line is filled in!
Where do I start? Cannot understand the 4 and 5 stars as this place has awful management. Roaches and bedbugs have been known to be present in months gone by. Glad I'm leaving!
RUN DON'T WALK! Do not rent from this place – I agree with the ones that complain about this place. I lived there for two years. You are right; they are nice at first; but when you need something fixed they take forever or they won't come at all. I remember last year (2011) the hot water went out in our builidng and it took them a week to fix it. They told everyone in the building to go to the other buidlings to get hot water. younger manager making improvements – I'm a student on a tight budget, so I needed a place that was pretty inexpensive. I have a one-bedroom. I'll be candid, this isn't the best place I've lived, but i've been here for 2 years now and the owner's son is doing a lot to make it a better place to live. A lot of the more unseemly elements have disappeared -- e.g. the drug-dealers next door got evicted last summer (the eviction notice was posted). I would live in a box before living here again – The person who gave 4 stars must be one of the owners. Every other resident I spoke to while living at Lexington Court hated it and the management. Nobody says anything to complain because everyone is scared of the owners. This is the perfect place to live if you want to live in a dirty place with lights that flicker, outlets that don't work, no upkeep, and management who won't do anything to fix any problems. Horrid Place – Beware of the manager, he seems nice at first, but I'm pretty sure he might be a slum-lord. If you have a maintence concern you'd be better to fix it yourself, because he doesn't think any think needs to be fixed. He will try to get as much money out of you as he can by fees and fine or other things. Any security deposit you put down will not be returned. I would live here again – I just moved out and I lived there for over 3 yrs. I moved from the east coast and wasn't familiar with the city so this ended up being the ideal location for me. Its close to malls and equidistant from st paul and minneapolis. I never had any maintenance problems and the management was always around and helpful.
Run down building and parking lot in poor condition – I would not recommend living at Lexington Court. The management company would often take a long time to fix any maintenance concerns. On one occasion shortly after moving in, I had called for a sink that would not drain. I was told that the sink was draining just fine and there was nothing wrong. A couple days later, a plastic handle from a knfe shot out of the drain, spewing kitchen sink sludge all over the kitchen area. The parking lot has many large potholes that have ... read more
