My son and daughter n law lived here for 2 years- we scrubbed and cleaned that place until it was immaculate and they did not return a dime of their security deposit- it seriously looked better than the day they moved in- they sent a a long email of what was wrong and it was all BS- we had photos etc- do not rent from them- crooks!!
Absolutely do use this leasing company. I lived at Dearing Gardens (managed by Lewis Properties) for two years. Living at Dearing Gardens was a nightmare. In my two years here, I dealt with rats, roaches, and other bugs on a regular basis (and I kept my apartment extremely clean). On three separate occasions, I had to remove rats myself because maintenance either refused or never responded, even during business hours. I lived at Shoal Creek for 4 years. I strongly recommend not living in this apartment complex. When we first moved in the price of the units were $900 total, but then increased to $1250. They tried to up the price again to $1350, but then dropped it back down because no one was leasing. They then offered a special re-lease price of $1250, but didn't or offer that price to units that already re-leased, only to those that did not yet sign the re-lease.
